Bowie Goes to the Vet

Boadicea went to the vet today because I noticed her squinting and a fluid discharge from the eye. We’re not sure what is going on yet — the vet couldn’t find any scratches or ulcers — but there’s a good chance that Fiona scratched her in the eye. (Herpes is also a possibility — anyone ever dealt with this in a cat?)

I took them both down to the vet so that little Boadicea wouldn’t feel lonely. I’m not sure if it registered that she was getting all the attention from the staff — especially the painful stuff like the thermometer shoved up her unmentionable orifice, the stain in the eye, and the ointment. She was well behaved for all of this and everyone in the office came out to see the pair.

A big black lab came out with his master while I was paying the bill. Bowie ran into the pet carrier and Fiona stood her ground. The techs just couldn’t keep their hands off of her.
