Three Rights

Three fundamental human rights occur to me after the recent discussions here and here about domestic violence. They apply to both men and women:

1. The right to not be criminalized or ignored as a victim.
   
2. The right to be declared innocent of acts of violence when you have not committed any.
   
3. The right to seek competent outside help.
