Debugging MT

Posted on November 25, 2003 in Site News

Problems have been fixed but still stuck in the water regarding the image uploading. Does anyone have any experience debugging a 500 error that comes up after you create a thumbnail image in Movable Type?

Big Brother might be fishing because they don’t like what you say about them. And in no time, you’re a fish out of water, suffocating.

Overheard on Undernet #political

Posted on November 23, 2003 in IRC/Chat

[Warpster] I went to a yacht launching party for a very wealthy and famous philanthropist once, had just realized I could never touch alcohol again, asked for a ginger ale at the bar. I heard a voice “Jesus #)($)&$@# Christ, lady, it’s an open bar!” and looked up to see the great man, himself. I said the gingerale would do nicely, thanks, and walked off realizing there was NO connection between money and class

Then there is this gem:

[Aero`] I was listening to the radio on my way home some lady called in … said she was driving behind someone with a honl if you love jesus bumper sticker on their car … she honked and the car in front shot her the finger lol

Can you imagine the driver in front thinking “Damn! Every time I go out for a drive, people honk at me even if I am doing nothing wrong!”

A Comment Worth Looking At

Posted on November 23, 2003 in Censorship Journalists & Pundits Pointers War

A new comment on an old article is worth looking at: War photographer Jon Mills on “Biased Impartiality“:

Many photographers like myself risk their lives to show you the consequences when men go to war. Without us I believe the world would be a more dangerous place for everyone.

For the whole comment, reread the article.

Michael Jackson

What I’ve missed in all the discussion about Michael Jackson is reference to his pathetic self-destruction aided and abetted by American attitudes towards people of color.

The Sun is Crying

It’s a nice illustration of the natural poet we have buried in ourselves and the virtue of listening to small children.
