Friends: I think many of you are spending too much time and focusing too exclusively on politics. Don’t stop writing these things, but don’t let the disasters of war and the words/actions of scoundrels be the whole of your writing life. Make time to write about nature, your soul, and the people you meet every day. Be open to experience. It will make you a better activist and a wiser human being.
