Demurring

Posted on May 3, 2003 in Book of Days

Note: This is eighteenth in a series based on exercises from A Writer’s Book of Days. It’s something of a rebellion against the Friday Five and similar tupperware content memes.

Today’s topic: Write about a sin.

Today, for the first time since I began this series, I must disappoint my readers. What I wrote does not merit publication. Doubtless some of you will be expecting a tale of adultery or violence, a revelation that Joel really is no different from everyone else in his animal lusts.

I assure you that there was nothing prurient about it. I’ve left many children out to be judged by the world since I started this blog. This one I choose to abort. No new ground was covered. It just wasn’t very good.

Want to participate? First either get yourself a copy of A Writer’s Book of Days by Judy Reeves or read these guidelines. Then either check in to see what the prompt for the day is or read along in the book.

Tomorrow’ topic/prompt: Why not?…..
