Something for the Activist Elite

Posted on May 19, 2003 in Campaign 2004

Are you one of the “activist elite” — one of those people who has worn out sneakers walking from door to door in canvasses or broken cheap keyboards after hundreds of hours typing your conscience online?

Where do men who wear four thousand dollar suits get off calling middle class people who put their consciences where their mouths out and who work to get out the vote “elites”?

Now you can tell the Democratic Leadership Council — “Bush Lite” — what you think of them!

I did. If Dean is the candidate, I will not vote Green or Socialist. If the DLC forces anyone else on me, then you can rest assured that I won’t be voting Democratic.

I’m watching Howard Dean. “Put a doctor in the White House” could be a great slogan.

Or how about “The country is sick and needs a doctor!”
