If the election were held today….

Posted on July 16, 2003 in Campaign 2004

….I would vote for Carol Moseley Braun.

My reasons:

  • Her views closely reflect my own.
  • Carolmoseleybraun.jpg I want to make the statement that a black, liberal woman is a viable candidate for president. To not vote for her because she “isn’t electable” is to capitulate to the white male elitist governance of America today.
  • I am getting SICK of the sniping between Dean, Kucinich and Kerry partisans. There is already too damn much mud in this campaign and Braun is the one of my four acceptable candidates who is not engaged in it.

I will not, no matter how much any Democrat yells at me, support any candidate who supported the war in Iraq. This, the Patriot Act, and the deficit are the three most important issues that must be faced in America today.

Here’s grist for your mill.
