Misunderstandings

Posted on August 2, 2003 in Book of Days

Note: This is part of a series based on exercises from A Writer’s Book of Days. It’s something of a rebellion against the Friday Five and similar tupperware content memes.

Today’s topic: Write about a time when you were misunderstood.

Write about a time when I was misunderstood? I could fill a category with that. And a second one for the times when I misunderstood others and looked foolish for it.

No, on a hot summer night in August, this is not a topic. The blood will rush to my head and the resulting pressure on my temples will be like introducing a Samson who will knock at the walls. I don’t need a headache or a heartache tonight.

Want to participate? First either get yourself a copy of A Writer’s Book of Days by Judy Reeves or read these guidelines. Then either check in to see what the prompt for the day is or read along in the book.

Tomorrow’ topic/prompt: Write about a bedroom.
