Questions for Desert Viking

When I first saw her name, I had this image of a longship cutting through white dunes. These questions are for Desert Viking who keeps a journal for the poetry that “comes tumbling” out of her head:

1. Tell us about the name. Why Desert Viking?
   
2. What have you stormed and what have you burned in your life?
   
3. In what ways does your cat participate in the writing and editing of your poems?
   
4. Do you think that in another country poets might be better loved than here?
   
5. Should poets lead? If so, towards what?

Looking around nervously, I ask: Anyone else?
