Aortal: Prairie Point

Posted on September 6, 2003 in Aortal

I’ve been a supporter of the InterNet as “folk revolution” as long as I have had an email account (since 1988). Aortal.com is not a network or a portal, but a movement of bloggers who, each week, promote another blog. I encourage others to do the same.

Bill Hopkins might be described as a “quiet man of the Left”. He dedicates much of his blog Prairie Point to the record of the seasons as they pass in his Texas home. A typical day at Bill’s blog describes what’s blooming in his garden and what he knows of the special properties of the plant. I wouldn’t call Bill anything that demands you box him up tightly with preconceived views. He’s just a fellow who loves the earth and the things that spring from it. I visit him every day to take the cure from the never ending drama of pundit blogging. He deserves more visitors checking to see what bulbs he’s inserting in the ground and telling him a good story or two.
