Note: This is part of a series based on exercises from A Writer’s Book of Days. It’s something of a rebellion against the Friday Five and similar tupperware content memes.
Today’s topic: “For as long as she lives, and probably longer, she will never forget his face.” (after Alison Moore)
I could write on this topic from a male perspective (For as long as he lives, and probably longer, he will never forget his/her face) but not tonight. Yes, I’m wimping out again. I came home from a writing discussion group and I am feeling high, happy even. Tonight is not for painful remembrance.
Or is it just me who sees the topic as referring to captivity and violence, especially rape?
Want to participate? First either get yourself a copy of A Writer’s Book of Days by Judy Reeves or read these guidelines. Then either check in to see what the prompt for the day is or read along in the book.
Tomorrow’ topic/prompt: Write about something you would do differently.
