When I begin petting one cat in the bedroom, the others hear my coos and come in for their share of the affection. Virginia Mew gallops the fastest of any of them. With her tail at full mast, she jumps on the bed and enthusiastically walks back and forth in front of me, until I run my hand down her back a few times.
Boadicea watches the petting. When I have finished, she walks up and lightly pats Virginia Mew in the same places that I have just stroked. No hisses. No growls. I believe she is imitating me.
