Intimate photos of the Washingtonia palms that lined the bathtub-shaped pool at Zzyzyx fill the three photos that comprise this gallery. The picture above depicts the blueberry-sized dates that hang from the shaggy posts. I do not know if they are edible.

This is the last word on my vacation.

Though the subject matter is simple, I like these three images.
