I was attacked with some venom by Photodude for my position on the capture of Saddam Hussein.
Whatever happened to people just being able to say “This is what I think”? Any time you say something even mildly critical of what is happening in Iraq, a shrapnel barrage questioning your patriotism ensues from the Right and from the Mushy Middle. Whatever happened to listening to others when they are not attacking you in their disagreement?
And you know what? I don’t have to answer him. I’ve said enough there and here about what my position is. His distortions will be plain to anyone who reads us both carefully. Just another person who can’t see the forest that is the new Vietnam war in Iraq for the tree named Saddam Hussein. Or the herd of issues for the sacred cow called George W. Bush. He cut the comments off anyways, so I can hardly believe he wants to hear my defense.
I’ll respect that.
Update: Kynn of Shock and Awe parodies the attitude that those of us who continue to oppose the war run into following the capture of Saddam Hussein. What part of “Well, I’m not as excited as you are” don’t you understand?
