More New Terms for the “Debate”

My little dictionary of terms for today’s changing political climate continues to grow as friends tell me their labels for particular types:
- Chicken Wing Democrats. These are the folks such as I described yesterday, who panic any time the RNC launches a new smear campaign. “All is lost! All is lost!” they cry.
- New Ragers. Anne Coulter, Bill O’Reilly, Rush Limbaugh. They act as if they are something new on the pinionist scene, but it’s just the same old human sacrificing McCarthyism.
- Pinionist. Someone told me that “pundit” means a wise person. So it appeared to be time to find a new term. Pinionist strikes me as fitting for those who seek to tie us down with their shallow critiques and name-calling.
- zellouts. Democrats like Zell Miller who think that in order to beat the Republicans we should be exactly like them. Also known as “vichy Democrats”.
My thanks to spikeb and DbleHelix for their contributions. I claim New Ragers and Pinionists as my own.
