Another Piece of Shrapnel

I’ve been spattered by reminders of the biggest missed opportunity in my life and feeling helpless about it. Yesterday, we heard from Frances that Lynn’s sister Carey is pregnant. Today, I meet women taking constitutionals with their new babies, pregnant women who have to sit while the Tully’s barristes fix their coffee, and an elderly couple who use a stroller to carry their things and give their grinning pug dog a rest when he gets tired of walking.
