Martyrdom: A Short Break and Wicked Thoughts

square015.gifI’m taking two days off from this thread: not feeling the heat, just need to focus on other matters in real life like lawyers and writing groups. Thank you for the comments and the email. Keep them coming through, folks. I’ll answer polite, thoughtful emails. I’ll post any that you give me permission to post.

A couple of amusing thoughts that came to me while discussing this with my wife regarding the issue of the mythical “International Jewish Conspiracy”:

  • It only takes two people living in two countries to have an international conspiracy. So it is probable that there isn’t just one, but several petty international Jewish conspiracies. How many international Christian conspiracies do you think there are? A lot more I bet.
  • Suppose there is an International Jewish Conspiracy. I suspect that it is very small (because how else could you keep it so secret that no one has ever been able to provide direct evidence of it?) and it has most Jews as well as everyone else duped.
  • How many Jews are in the ten wealthiest people in the world list? I can think of several Christians, a few Muslims, but how many Jews made it?
  • Why aren’t we concerned about Kenneth Lay’s Christian conspiracy to defraud his shareholders and his employees with Enron? If the Jewish religion matters when speaking of money issues, why not Christianity? Double-standard time!

On Friday, the topic is once again “War”.
