From the Container Garden

square210.gifGr-r-r-r. Sometimes I think it’s just not fair that Bill of Prairie Point gets to show off his latest blooms every day just because he lives in Texas,
home of cheap land while I am pinched into a condominium where anything I grow has to be based on a pot. This restricts me to a dwarf date palm in a half barrel, begonias in a planter, several cactus, and one wide dish for annual bulbs. This year, I planted Freesia in a rainbow which produced the blooms you see at the right.

Thankfully, though a man of acid wit at times, I do not descend to the level of the Soliloquy of the Spanish Cloister. Still, to be bested by a Texan, even a liberal one — g-r-r-r — there goes my heart’s abhorrence! (Ooops!)
