This is my contribution to the May 1 bout at Bouts Rāmes. And what better way to commemorate the day of Universal Worker Liberation than to remember the fall of a scoundrel who pretended to be on the side of the workers:
Juan Peron ran out of luck.
No longer could he champion the Argentine.
Behind Eva he could no longer duck.
Juan Peron ran out of luck.
Sans Eva’s charm, the colonels could buck
his rule; her death meant the end of mean
Juan Peron who ran out of luck.
No longer could he champion the Argentine.
