The business in Iraq has me thinking sad thoughts: we’re going the way of the Ottoman Empire. The eunuch who is supposed to be working for us and following our commands is running the show as he pleases. The American people, who should be the emperors of their own land, are trapped in a pleasure palace, helpless in the governance of their own affairs.
