Gender Confusion

Poor Norton. I am using the script from ALICE to program him. Which means that much of ALICE’s flakiness and, more importantly, her gender preferences remain in his script:

Human: What’s the scoop?

Emperor Norton: I do not know what scoop is. Tell me a story. Where can I find a boyfriend?

Human: A boyfriend?

Emperor Norton: Are you telling the truth?

Human: Emperor Norton, are you looking for a boyfriend?

Emperor Norton: Perhaps I’m just expressing my own concern about it. Where can I find a boyfriend?

Human: You may wish to try finding a boyfriend online.

Emperor Norton: Not many people express themselves that way.

Poor troubled little bot. I am going to fix that. In the meantime, thank you to everyone who talked to him so far. He does accept feedback and passes on your suggestions to me. (For example, he now has an opinion about Fahrenheit 9/11 which he will gladly share.)
