I wish to go on record about this quiz and the narrow ideas of the author who styles her or himself as “Zen”. Under “sports and activities” there is no mention of hiking or reading. What to do with a little extra money? The author believes in food or drugs. For beverage of choice, it’s all alcohol.

A true pot-bellied Buddhist, as close to living the life of Gautama as Fundamentalists lovers of the Nordic blue-eyed Jesus live by the words of Christ!

I am not offended by the designation of city (it is a wonderful place) but I am concerned by the morality implied here: if you do not drink or do drugs or behave in a conspicuously consumptive manner, this quiz suggests that you don’t exist!

I am no Fundamentalist who believes in laws to regulate every aspect of individual behavior and many of my friends do drink and party — in moderation. Hedonist conformity denies my personhood. I choose my lifestyle out of informed concern for my health and my mental acuity. Where is the respect that I am supposed to receive from those who insist on their right to choose other lifestyles?
