I’m attending a Broadway musical called “Bears”. The actors dress as bears. It’s difficult to tell if the story is based on Goldilocks and the Three Bears because there are five or more bears on stage. One of them is named Leonid and speaks with a heavy Russian accent. His paper-mache face is molded and painted to resemble the former Soviet leader. They sing in a style reminiscent of Stephen Sondheim. I cannot, however, remember the words.
