We had a busy weekend. Visitors from out of town (see Lynn’s blog) and a trip up to the Mojave Desert. Meanwhile, my mind and eyes kept watching the world, observing events.
For those who wonder, we are not in the danger zone for the flooding from Prado Dam. It’s over on the other side of the mountain from us. Aliso Creek will not rise 600 feet to innundate us. There is a line of houses across the road which will fall before ours does and the hill we stand on is said to be solid.
Nevertheless, we watch the coming winter months with trepidation. We’ve had three storms so far. And El Nino comes in February and March. Prado is still unwritten history.
