Twenty Cents Don’t Make A Paradigm

Posted on February 12, 2005 in Identity Whines

square033.gifHere’s one to have you whistling Loonie Tunes: Therapists tell us that we have no control over other people. So just let go. But then, they preach the gospel of the “self-fullfilling prophecy”: My life is fucked up because of the way I have acted and alienated others. So they are implying that I do have control over others.

I think this paradigm is in sore need of replacement. It’s Heisenberg and Einstein clashing in my brain and the result is always uncertainty.
