The day before I wrote Untreated Mental Illness, Counterpunch.org published a piece by psychiatrist Carol Wolman offering six possible diagnoses to explain the behavior of George W. Bush.
Each suggestion chills. What’s worse is that Wolman suggests that Cheney and Rumsfeld may suffer from Narcissistic personality disorder. If it should come to the point where a mentally ill George W. Bush must be replaced, his chosen successor may have issues of his own of negative import to the country. Somehow, the intent of the constitutional amendment is thwarted by substituting the sick for the sick. But this isn’t the first time this administration has turned a stiletto heel into that document.
