Recovery of the Salt and Pepper Forest

The hairs have reached a sixteenth of an inch in length and I can actually feel something when I run my hands over my chin and cheeks. My beard is coming back after the surgery. On Monday, the doctor removes the stitches. By next week, I will actually appear to have facial hair at a distance. Of all the elements of recovery, this is the one that I have awaited most eagerly. I want to look like a man again.
