Crested or Cloven 2

square203.gif“Thinks like a man.” What’s wrong with that sentence? A question follows the question. How far is that from “Don’t bother your silly little head with that” or “Women are so emotional”? I am damned for having rational thought. My wife, who is a software engineer, by definition cannot have rational thought. Nor can I have emotions. (Tell that to my therapist and close friends.) What is put forth in the name of feminism is actually a man-and-woman-hating world view. It’s the old “Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus” platitude that those who aren’t ready to face the redefinition of what it means to be male or female in the 21st century invoke.

I can’t imagine Virginia Woolf, for example, accepting this thinking, she who worked so hard to prove to the world that women had rational minds, too, and deserved a mind-stimulating education instead of finishing schools. Such thinking damns every human being on the planet to living a life which meets the requirements of their society. It denies individuality, the freedom of the person to choose how they will live in this world and how they will think. What we are isn’t limited to whether certain organs have descended from the top of the thighs or remained inside as a womb. It’s no wonder that some people are driven to radical surgery because they don’t feel they are mentally compatible with societal expectations. They come to blame their bodies for their differentness.

Each of us is what we are. To attempt to cast us in a mold is pedagogic and lazy thinking. I prefer to deal with people as Anais Nin said she did: as they were, as they came to her, as they acted around her. What happened in the case that amused and riled me was that someone who had no idea of what I stood for tossed me in her blender, poured out the blood and the fat, and declared me nothing but a pair of testicles. I find this person no more insightful than the average boor who thinks a woman has her place in the home.

To reverse a exclamation of Queen Elizabeth, if I had been cloven instead of crested, she would not have spoken to me so.

No, I am not going to give you a link or tell you who it was. If you are truly curious, you can check my technorati link. I suspect this person would get sadistic pleasure out of all the incoming links from here. Furthermore, I don’t want a cavalry of friends running in for the charge and attacking her. She’d only like that, too. If you go to read, please just read. I know that her picture isn’t accurate or fair. Just let her destroy herself if that’s what she wants to do.
