Two dreams:
1. I wake up in the new house Lynn and I have just bought. My mother is there. It turns out that the house we are in is just the cottage behind the main house. I cross the lawn to the main building, pass the swimming pool, and go inside. I make several rounds of the floor, passing through every room (there seem to be seven) then cutting around the back to enter by the side door again. Each time I pass through a room it is different. Sometimes the shape is the same: only the contents and the colors have changed. At other times everything about the room is different. I meet people as I pass through, people who are reading, eating, having sex, wanting me to have sex, wanting to cook me dinner, etc. The last time I begin the circle, the swimming pool has moved to block my way. It is surrounded by bright yellow tiles. Courageously, I plough ahead, walking on the water. The liquid feels warm, wet, and soft as my feet press into it.
2. I am at a bar. A fellow wearing a white suit performs magic tricks. He hands me a handful of trick coins that he uses to change nickles into pennies, pennies into dimes, etc. I show him that I know how to use them.
A friend of mine told me that I appeared in a dream she had. I asked her if it was a pleasant dream. “No,” she said. “We were both locked up back on the ward.” Uh oh.
