Dream

I look out a window from a corner room I am occupying at a university and mark, over on a rooftop that I cannot see from all angles, mother polar bears have just given birth to their young. The cubs are going to the edges of the roof and peering down: the mothers grab them by the scruff and pull them out of harm’s way. Later, they venture down to a lawn next to a heated kidney-shaped pool where several people are swimming. While two mothers fight, a pair of old ladies go up and play with the cubs. I shout to them to leave the cubs alone for their own good but they can’t hear me through the windows.
