A baby elephant is on the loose. Several people are being canned (literally put into cans) because of it. The little elephant is furry (maybe a baby mammoth?) and the size of a Boston Terrier. It runs around. The story of its discovery is revealed: someone left it in the doorway of a Catholic home for unwanted animals. The secretaries going through the boxes of orange and white cats, guinea pigs, etc. do not find it, but the priest does and lets it out of its carrier to run around. It follows me some. Then I lose it. A little girl wants to see it, so I go back looking for it. It’s hiding in the back of a pet store. I try to go down the aisle to capture it, but I have a large, clear plastic swimming tube around my neck and I can’t squeeze through. I take it off and rush back to get the elephant. It lies in a bird cage under a heat lamp. When I try to pull it out, it crawls up behind the heat lamp where I can’t get it.
