And it’s…..

Mexico City! We decided that we hadn’t done a real foreign trip since 1992 (the one day jaunts to Tecate, Ensenada, and Tijuana just don’t count) so Mexico City won over New Orleans. Cancun came a close third (we’re really not beach lovers though there are some interesting ruins about the place) and Europe is just too freaking cold at this time of the year.

I have a list of Internet Cafes and am acquainting myself with maps of the city so that I can tell the taxi drivers how to find such obscure places as the Basilica of Guadalupe, the Museum of Anthropology, etc.

We’re planning to do a drive out to see the pyramids one day, too. (Woo Hoo!) and, if there is time, sneak over to Tula in a rented Volkswagen Beetle. (Ah, Memory Lane!)

And, of course, we will visit some of the great cemeteries for photographs, etc.
