I came home to find that Lynn was playing one of the forbidden CDs of the house, a recording of her father singing opera arias and hymns.
Denos has a superb voice. I do not contest this. But he chose to create this CD using a cheap microphone and his computer. Wav files fill in the background. His voice sounds flat, a magnificent bust drawn in only two dimensions, a silhouette.
It’s like listening to Caruso on wax cylinders. If he lives long enough to see me rich, I’ll buy him an afternoon in a recording studio so he can do it right.
