A Word to/About DC Elitist

Posted on January 20, 2003 in Site News

Not only do I terminate your rights to post on this site, DC Elitist, but I also notify your provider that you have violated your terms of service.

I believe in a free Internet superhighway just like I believe in free streets. Once you come to my front door, however, and start making an ass of yourself on my site, you have come into my personal space: you have no more right here than you do in my living room.

How ironic of you to whine, given the fact that I can’t even drive on the streets of your city without going through your Gestapo. (I chose not to live in a gated community as did many of my friends.) I am sure if I attempted to walk into Dove Canyon and speak my mind there (wearing no mask as you have done), your security patrol would haul me off in no time.

I rest my case.

I will defend your freedom to post whatever whines you want on your own blog. The First Amendment protects my Freedom of Association as well as your Freedom of Speech in public domains. I choose not to associate with you in this private domain of mine.

Your providers have been notified.

Gotta love these types. They use the net to spread defamatory information about Bill Clinton, liberals, etc.; they don’t have the guts to identify publically who they are; they live in gated communities; and they support a man who has done more to rip the Constitution and Bill of Rights in little bits, AND then they scream when you exercise your right to control what happens in your private space as well as comment on the Resident in public? Think I should take this guy seriously?

Information about this roach follows:

A user who has repeatedly used false email addresses to post
insulting and abusive comments to my weblog has been publically notified at http://paxnortona.notfrisco2.com to cease and desist. This user originates from
your site:

66.81.189.195
64.196.210.13

are the nodes from which he/she/it has been calling.

By terms of your use contract, I suspect he has violated your terms of service
contract by using falsified email addresses to harass me. I have taken the
additional step of prohibiting future access to the user. I believe in a free
information highway, but in my own private domain I set the rules.

Please advise your user to cease and desist.

Sincerely

Joel Sax
