I dropped off the papers which I had employed Garnette to distribute to the other “interested party” yesterday at the court clerk. The woman at the window needed to call her supervisor over to explain how to handle them. The supervisor looked them over. “Oh, this is Mr. Sax!” she exclaimed merrily. I smiled as she showed the younger staffer the steps for processing them.
Have I become so familiar to them? What awaits me? Merry testimonials to my courtesy or a scorpion’s tail behind a door primed to punish me for my uppitiness?
