chari and my own wife set me straight on one aspect of the FEMA report: it’s still a good idea to read the sections about preparedness for natural disasters.
We have earthquake supplies downstairs in our garage, including water, food, first aid supplies, rain gear, etc. While they don’t happen here that often and we’re located in an area well away from any active faults, it’s a good idea nevertheless for us to be ready just in case a big one strikes within a 100 miles of us.
