A Response to Bad Criticism

Last night, I went by my writer’s critique group and picked up the marked up copies of my short story that some of you are reading by my express invitation.

On the top of the pile was a copy liberally marked in red. Next to the title of the piece, “Mount Likavitos”, was the question “Why are we here?”

Because I, the author of the piece, put us there.
