World Opinion on Iraq

Few people talk about travel at irc.icq.com these days because of the war. I’ve discovered that once people discover that I am an American, they immediately start into me about what my country is doing in the Persian Gulf.

George W. Bush promised in his failed 2000 election campaign that he would make America more respected in the world. This selection of comments from the international participants on the #travel channel suggests that he has failed, utterly:

Will my fellow Americans start getting the hint that the world does not want this war? If George W. Bush and his supporters don’t think they can get along with the rest of the world, perhaps they should redirect America’s resources towards building a moon base where they can live separately. I will be more than happy to buy gift baskets as bon voyage presents for the first colonists.
