  • I haven’t written a decent poem in several months.
  • Everytime I increase my dose of Geodon, I am afflicted by new and interesting side effects.
  • I am alone for most of the day tomorrow and have no idea what to do with my time.
  • Had to cancel a trip to the Palm Springs Tramway and, besides, the web site is down.
  • Was so drowsy that I had to leave my DBSA meeting.
  • The cats choose to fight on my chest.
  • I can’t nap on command to pass the time.
  • It’s too wet outside to do any crafts to while away the time.
  • The MP3 Maker program isn’t installing right.
  • I am having to go off of Lithium and the Geodon just isn’t cutting it as a successor.
  • I watched the movie I got from Netflix and now have nothing to do all evening.
  • The periodontist found two cavities last week, on a morning when the drowsiness afflicted me especially badly.
  • I didn’t dare be happy because I kept expecting one more bad thing to happen.
  • I haven’t written any long bloggings of late.
  • I was disqualified for the Blogathon because no one sponsored me.
  • I think I am falling into a depression.
  • Pinhead Meds

Getting the meds without side effects is like having to push a button the size of a pin head in a closely packed field of other pin heads without disturbing its neighbors.

    A Free Man

The lesson that I have derived from my manic episode is this: The disease can throw us out of kilter, but we can decide what our behavior will be. I declare myself a free man.
