Note: This is twenty-first in a series based on exercises from A Writer’s Book of Days. It’s something of a rebellion against the Friday Five and similar tupperware content memes.
Today’s topic: I can imagine..
Yes, I can. And I must beg out. You see, there’s a local writing contest for a three page short story. I wrote the first, confused draft. Plenty of lousy stuff to cut with a single, scintillating core complete with inner conflict, frustrated desires, and a dramatic finish.
Working title: Annie 1953.
Want to participate? First either get yourself a copy of A Writer’s Book of Days by Judy Reeves or read these guidelines. Then either check in to see what the prompt for the day is or read along in the book.
Tomorrow’ topic/prompt: Some things you’ll never forget..
