The best flowers on our Dreaded Hill Loop trip were those at the very summit of Dreaded Hill. The slopes tended to feature only one variety spread over a wide area and that flower was usually Black Mustard, though a few clusters of Creeping Sage and Orange Bush Monkeyflower broke the monotony.
My feet are kicking at the thought of getting as much of this in my camera as I can before the end of the season. I’m setting my clock for an early rousing tomorrow so that I can check the nature trail at the Regional Park down the street.
