Note: This is part of a series based on exercises from A Writer’s Book of Days. It’s something of a rebellion against the Friday Five and similar tupperware content memes.
Today’s topic: Write about predictability.
I’m sitting at the kitchen table writing this by hand before I enter it into the computer. We’ve had three days of heat and now a fog is rising over the ocean. Cool air glows through the open windows, but I don’t think it will mean that tomorrow will bring an ice storm or even those pleasant days of March when temperatures hover in the seventies. The lemmings will don their swimsuits, pack their Igloo icechests, roll up their towels, and jam Laguna Canyon. It will not be a good weekend to go to the beach.
Want to participate? First either get yourself a copy of A Writer’s Book of Days by Judy Reeves or read these guidelines. Then either check in to see what the prompt for the day is or read along in the book.
Tomorrow’ topic/prompt: Road maps.
