I turned to the last photos of my backlog tonight after spending an hour writing a sad tale about an overpaid corporate executive who oppresses a poet. It’s not a good story and I intend to leave it in my notebook. Sometimes you need to write to fill notebooks and sometimes you need to take pictures to exorcise the words you raise when you write.
I sent off a story for a contest yesterday, just a little local thing for which the prize is $5. My main reason for participating was to get a couple of stories done. My opinion of them? Reasonable craftmanship and imagination. Hardly the kind of stuff that will change the world.
So, now that that subject’s dispensed with, take a look at that tree. Doesn’t it remind you of the one at the beginning of Six Feet Under, set in a low spot instead of a high?
You know about clicking on the picture to see today’s gallery by now, don’t you? Comments about the pictures are welcome.
