Cat-nasta

Posted on June 11, 2003 in Cats

I’m addicted to playing canasta with Maurice, Marvin, Jasper, Ms. Tardee, Harley (I think he cheats), Bart, Robin, and a few other animations. A few minutes ago, I was playing the game on my laptop, moving the cards around on my touchpad. Boadicea walked over from Lynn’s side of the bed and sat on my shoulder.

“Hmmm,” she said to herself. “I see that as he moves those extended claws of his over the touchpad and taps at the button using that fat dewclaw of his, the cards on the screen move. Let me try.”

Alas, her adoptive father forbade her. “I don’t understand this game,” said Boadicea. After a few abortive taps that I pre-empted with my fingers, she walked away. “Fifi,” she sighed. “This whole thing doesn’t make sense. May I bite you?” And Fiona obliged by holding her neck forth so that Boadicea could sink her teeth in it, bloodless vampire style.
