Glancing over the previous entry (below), I find myself hearing the voices of certain members of my critique group complaining about this sentence: “Crumbled clouds smeared the face of the moon.”
“I’m having trouble visualizing this,” say the old men who love thrillers.
There’s nothing I can do about their lack of patience. What can I say that they will listen to? Watch less television?
