Understanding it is impossible. Last night, Lynn picked up an especially vile Netware infection that included elements of sqwire, Xupiter, gator, and Shopping Nav. The word for these is “browser hijacker”. The programs actively fought our efforts to root them out. We were forced to redo the system, the infestation was so complete, so thorough.
Now we’re looking for the Paint Shop Pro CD, the last obstacle to my becoming fully net functional. What I wonder is who got the idea that trashing my computer would make me want to use their links? It’s net banditry, pure and simple.
