New feature: Here you will find my favorite picks from photo blogs. Something to do on a Tuesday.

square102.gifIt’s Spring in the Northern Hemisphere. Photographers are bowing down before the wildflowers and the grass, zooming their lenses in close to get fabulous shots. The people in the cities have been busy, too. And I always admire people who have the guts to take photos of people.

Plant Life
  • Laura: A mischievous glance at a pair of dandelions.
  • Rachel: New blooms in England
  • chris m: This photographer must be a Californian. The coastal chaparral is unmistakeable.

  • DV: Fascinating up close photo of a plant by a fellow Southern Californian
  • Digital Streams: Easter blooms
  • Jasmin: Beaded Jewel
  • Bill shows off his China Roses.

Animals
  • Catherine J: Two geese ready to go alaying…. (Manitoba, Canada)
  • Rayos found beauty in a fly perched on a leaf.
  • Tribolum caught his cat sleeping.

People
  • Maria: Playing around with colorizing a black and white photo, she created this striking portrait.
  • Teri showed us her toenails.
  • Lighter than air: Timeless
  • Scott: What is this man doing with a Barbie up his butt?
  • SLOLane: Up close and personal.
  • Matthew: Stunning reds and blues figure in this portrait of a folk singer at his first big gig.
  • Btezra caught demostrators at a Pennsylvania anti-war rally.

Found Objects
  • Paul: Look at this carpet! Wouldn’t you like it in your house?

Cityscapes
  • Heather catches a game of chess.
  • Rachel posted this expression of the Light

Landscapes
  • Jonathan P: A charming waterfall in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park
  • Erin Malone discovered these grotesque formations in California’s Alabama Hills.
  • Coup de Vent caught these lichens in the dales. There’s a 360 degree broadband panorama, too.
