No Life at Cook’s Corner

Cook’s Corner is a spearpoint where El Toro Road forks into Santiago Canyon and Live Oak Canyon Roads. The last three days of showers slimed the intersection with mud and sharp rocks. An unusual number of cars parked around the local outlaw biker gathering spot: the only motorcycle belonged to a man covered in black leather. He was buttoning his jacket as we drove by. Buttoning up his jacket and getting the hell out of there before the clouds pelted him once more.
