Ever get so mad about something that you couldn’t even scream about it? Two weeks ago I submitted a request to move Alsirat.com from Yahoo to Glowhost. A week ago last Friday, after coping with a rude customer assistant, I talked to a manager.
She promised satisfaction. I sent off yet another fax as requested. Gave them the five to seven business days to process it. Called today to check on things because there has been no email. I asked for the same supervisor who had helped me before. Today’s customer assistant said “We’re a big company, Sir. I don’t know where to find her.” She checked the order number. “Oh, yes. This was processed on the 27th.” Joy. I get home and check the site. It remains at Yahoo. I check the information for my account. They got the home address right, but the email remains wrong and the site lingers at Yahoo.
I put in another request. This time I typed a long message (all caps — the bastards deserved it) telling them that they’d fucked up royally. The request vanishes into cyberspace. No one at Verisign answers the phone. I must wait until tomorrow.
Shave my head. Color me jaundiced. Put me on a bridge. Hear me wail.
