I’ve been adopted! After the big letdown of the 2004 election (they couldn’t claim to have won that one fair and square either), the conservatives have taken to “monitoring” certain liberal bloggers Orwell style. And I made the list, gosh darn it. I made the list. All my liberal friends who didn’t make the list will be so jealous.
Aside from the overinflated sense of importance this has given me, it also goes to prove why we should be watching the wRong and, more urgently, keeping it out of power. These are paranoids who must sling mud and keep enemies lists at every opportunity, particularly when confronted by people who won’t just go along with their manufactured facts and whines. They are pretty much like the blue van I saw in Laguna Beach today. There it stood, parked along the Coast Highway. A bumper sticker said “ANNOY A LIBERAL: WORK, GROW, BE HAPPY”. There were large dents in the vehicle, at right angles, indicating that the driver had more than once collided with something. I wasn’t annoyed in the least by the cheap shot. I just drove home, worked, put a little more effort into self development, had happy thoughts, and remained committed to my leftist beliefs. The basic message isn’t the problem. It’s that they don’t really live the “grow” part.
I won’t bother to give you a link — you can always use technorati for that. But I do thank them for giving me more traffic and allowing me to find more friends. If you are a liberal blogger and you feel left out of the surveillance, attach a comment! Maybe the Molester P. Moles of the Jack Acid Society will see your plea and add you to their blacklist.
I’m off to go read. It’s good to know that they are scared of me. Woof woof!
